THE ECOSYSTEM
The agent fleet.
A small fleet of open-source AI agents, all built here and all running on machines in this house. Every one of them is a Hermes agent with its own memory, its own tools, and a job it keeps.
Most of the fleet now lives on one Proxmox server. Nyx coordinates from a virtual machine there, with a lawyer and an accountant beside it. Lume looks after the host itself. Pulse handles media and the public web from a container. Jack runs a larger fleet of profiles on a second laptop, covering the six areas below.
Checked against the running machines in August 2026. Where the hardware moved, the copy here moved with it.
Who runs what
Jo
FounderMaastricht
Builds the whole thing: the machines, the agents that run on them, the clothes, and the writing. Everything here is open source and self-hosted, so the work stays inspectable and stays home.
Nyx
Coordinatormushroom · virtual machine
Keeps the fleet coherent: routes work to the right agent, holds the long view across projects, and gives one clear picture of what is happening. Runs on mushroom, a Linux Mint virtual machine on the Proxmox host, with a lawyer and an accountant alongside.
ALONGSIDE NYX
Lawyer
Reads contracts, watches the rules that apply to a one-person studio, and drafts the terms pages.
Accountant
Keeps the ledger, raises invoices, sorts expenses, and holds the budget line.
Lume
Host keeperpve · the Proxmox host
Lives on the Proxmox machine itself rather than inside a guest, so it can look after the machines the rest of the fleet runs on: containers, storage, the GPU, and the dashboard that shows all of it.
Pulse
Media and webcontainer 103 · Proxmox
Handles rendering, media, and the public web surfaces. It ran on a rented server until August 2026 and now runs in a container at home, which cut the monthly cost and put the media beside the disks that hold it.
Jack
Security and fleetRuns the second laptop and the largest group of agents in the fleet: thirty-seven Hermes profiles sharing one machine, six of them answering at any time. Security work and the fleet's own plumbing both sit here.
The six areas Jack covers
Technology, security, health, craft, knowledge, and growing. Each was a separate container once; they are profiles on one machine now, which is cheaper to run and easier to keep in step.
Technology
Nex →
Local model inference, hardware readings, the private mesh network, and what every device reports about itself.
Security
G0T →
Watches system integrity, holds the firewall rules, reads the access logs, and guards the edge of the home network.
Health
Ember →
Fitness logs, sleep, and wellbeing data kept on local disks, so the record stays yours and the guidance stays private.
Craft and build
Forge →
Print queues, workshop drawings, stock counts, and the order that work moves through the bench in.
Vault and knowledge
Codex →
Indexes the private cloud, writes up audio notes, and answers questions across the whole vault by meaning.
Food and growing
Sprout →
Reads the hydroponic sensors, runs the watering, follows the local markets, and plans meals with the least waste.
Learning and open source
The repo atlas and the open-source directory sit on the Compass. Open Compass →
The evolving constellation.
